Censor Effects Explained

🌫️ Blur Effect

Applies gaussian blur to selected areas, creating a smooth, out-of-focus appearance. Best for: faces in crowd photos, background information, or when you want a softer, less obvious censoring effect. Adjustable intensity from subtle to completely obscured.

🔲 Pixelate Effect

Creates a mosaic or pixelated appearance, the classic censoring look often seen on TV. Best for: faces, license plates, ID numbers, or any content where complete anonymization is needed. Higher intensity creates larger pixels for more coverage.

⬛ Solid Black

Completely covers selected areas with solid black color, providing 100% coverage. Best for: highly sensitive information, text that must be completely hidden, or when you need guaranteed unreadability. Maximum privacy protection.

Pro Tips for Image Censoring

  • High Intensity for Privacy: Use maximum blur/pixelation intensity (40-50px) when censoring highly sensitive information.
  • Solid Black for Text: For text-based information (IDs, addresses), solid black provides the most secure coverage.
  • Overlap Areas: When censoring text, make censor areas slightly larger than the text to ensure complete coverage.
  • Check Preview Carefully: Before downloading, verify all sensitive information is completely obscured.
  • Multiple Areas: Don't hesitate to draw multiple censor areas - there's no limit.
  • Circle for Faces: Use circle shape for more natural-looking face censoring.
  • Rectangle for Text: Use rectangle shape for license plates, addresses, and text information.
  • Keyboard Shortcuts: Select an area and press Delete or Backspace to remove it quickly.
